Our employees are able to perform 90 percent of the work from the roof to the basement, giving us more control over the quality and completion-time of your project. While we excel at remodeling projects and are capable of doing almost any project on our own, we recognize the need for sub-contractors for specialized portions of your home addition.

We use Marling Lumber of Madison, WI to draw up your home addition plans. If you buy the construction materials from them to complete your addition, Marling will credit 50% of your drawing fee towards construction materials for your home's addition. Marling is a fair-priced lumber yard with high quality construction materials, making them a partner that SR Remodeling is proud to have.

Construction Tips

Compare Apples to Apples in Construction Quotes

When getting quotes for a construction or remodeling project, make sure you are comparing apples to apples. Ask all potential contractors to quote your remodeling project using the same construction materials as other contractors who are quoting. Not all building materials are the same - and some contractors use inferior products to slip in with the lowest bid.

Ask for photos of past construction work

Ask potential contractors for images of completed construction or remodeling projects that you can see. Don't be afraid to ask to speak to past references. If it's possible, visit a complete remodeling or construction site where you can see the quality and craftsmanship first hand.
